From Turbans to Valenti to Love~

I can offer no resistance to share this photos I found in the internet. I was in a google’ing spree to find turbans for a photo shoot when I first stumbled upon Alexandra Valenti’s work. I took a browse on these majestic and dreamy photographs and drowned in this intangible altruistic feeling I can’t conceal. The beautifully faded bohemian texture, epic vintage coats, skirts, and dresses - they make me want to grab them all!

Vintage Doll: Brigitte Bardot

I just don’t know what to say. This is a cliche or a repetition indeed as if I am challenging your eyes but this woman is so beautiful. Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot or BB for short was a French fashion model-turned-actress singer during late 50’s. She was a ballerina in her early age and supported animal welfare activism after she announced her retirement.

She was also known for her sex-kitten style. Wonder what it is? Just look at her. ~_~

Vintage Doll: Mary Jane Russell

I rather fancy you’d be hard put to find a more impressive and iconic fashion model during the New Look era than Mary Jane Russell. A leading fashion model of the 1940’s and ‘50’s who was a favorite of the photographers Louise Dahl-Wolfe and Irving Penn. Certainly, she was the face of New York, though not as tall as other photographic models — she was just 5-foot-6 - Russell possessed a long neck and classical features that suited the era’s elegant mood.

These are some of my favorite photos of her not only for the exquisite dresses, but for those adorably playful kitties, of course!
